Building Codes Iran
Iran was recently hit with a 7.8 earthquake
As earthquake safety specialists, we offer our deepest condolences to the families in Iran
So far the fatality count is at about 40 deaths and 800 injuries, and rising. There is still confusion about these numbers, and it is too early to tell. The earthquake was felt along the Iran-Pakistan border, and in northern India. The alert is orange, which is significant economic loss, right under three shades of red.
According to the USGS Pager: “the population in this region resides in structures that are highly vulnerable to earthquake shaking, though some resistant structures exist. The predominant vulnerable building types are adobe block and unreinforced brick with timber floor construction.”
When looking at how to reinforce buildings so that they perform well against hard-hitting earthquakes, it is no surprise to us that these unreinforced brick structures were gravely affected. Mortar without steel reinforcement is highly dangerous, anywhere in the world. If your home or building sits on mortar foundation, or has unreinforced mortar walls, then please call our company immediately to have us come out and provide a free assessment on what you can do to strengthen your home or building.
Here at Weinstein Construction Corp., we lead the way when it comes to securing your home or building. Our methods are effective. Part of having your building earthquake retrofitted is the satisfaction that you can go to sleep with peace of mind. With so many tremors all over the world, not just in the Ring of Fire along the Pacific Ocean, every family deserves the quality of living that we promote using better building code standards and some of the best in the entire world for a significantly low cost.
Please call us today and find out why we are the best in earthquake protection and earthquake retrofitting services!
